The lot you almost bought is a washed Ethiopia Yirgacheffe from the Konga washing station. Stone fruit up front, jasmine on the finish, clean enough to drink black.

Grind right before you pour, not the night before. Coffee loses most of its aroma in the first 15 minutes after grinding. A cheap burr grinder and fresh grounds will out-brew a $400 machine running on pre-ground.
